It's a quiet place and doesn't ever seem to be very busy - don't let that put you off. I've been a couple of times for takeaways there but one time sat down in there one evening with a mate of mine. The food is very good, the staff are friendly and, when you consider the prices frequently seen in Grenoble, the price isn't too steep either. I'll be sure to go back!
We found this place near the train station on a rainy Monday night. Not many people inside, but the posted menu looked OK, so we gave it a try. They offer a very nice prix-fixe 2 course meal for 16 euro, which includes soup, main course, a beer or glass of wine, and dessert. We ordered the spring rolls as an extra, which were very good. My main course was calamari in spicy sauce, and my colleague had beef stew. There was a large bowl of rice with egg & veg (the steamed version of fried rice). I had ice cream (2 scoops) for dessert, my colleague had deep-fried banana. Simple food, well prepared, and very reasonable. A good change of pace. I would go there again.
We used Chinatown as a bit of a meeting place for a quick drink before heading out some nights. Great service and people. We didn't eat there, so can't vouch for the food.
