Chang's Mongolian Grill - Gresham

I visited the restaurant tonight for the first time in nearly two years, and everything was delicious. However, I took off a star because the cook mixed up my husband’s and my bowls into one. While it was edible, it wasn’t ideal since my husband wanted his dish spicy, but I didn't. Unfortunately, I ended up with a spicy meal due to this mix-up. The cook seemed rather indifferent, saying it happens often, but that's not acceptable, especially for someone with food allergies.

The food was good, and the buffet was well-stocked. The staff was friendly, and the sole cook did his best to keep up with demand. He was nice, but it was clear he was overworked.

I visited again on March 21, and once more, the food was outstanding. We had the option to serve ourselves, and masks were no longer mandatory. The staff offered excellent and friendly service, and the grill master was fantastic as well.

The service was excellent, and the staff was very attentive. There was a good variety of meats, vegetables, and sauces to choose from. Overall, it was a solid Mongolian BBQ experience, though nothing particularly extraordinary.

The food here is consistently excellent. Because of COVID, you can’t serve yourself, but the staff takes care of that for you. The overall experience closely resembles what it was like before the pandemic. I would give it a solid 5 stars, but it’s really hot today, and unfortunately, the air conditioning is broken.
