Smiths At Gretna Green

We had the best time ever staff were so welcoming and friendly (they accommodated all needs and requirements). We stayed for 2nights in the penthouse, parents had balcony room and guests had double rooms all were lovely, very clean and tidy. Private dinning for wedding was perfect and made our wedding day that extra special. We and all our guests will be returning. Wedding meal was outstanding and excellent value for money, all of our guests were catered for and no request was an issue the staff are beyond helpfull and couldn't do enough to ensure our happiness on the day

We stayed 2 nights in Bensmoor cottages for our wedding day. The Bensmoor cottages are about a 3 minute walk from the main Smiths building. They have their own parking space 1 x. The rooms are super large and have a kettle, toaster, fridge, bath. My biggest issue was they are super super dark, obviously if you are getting bridal ready tell your MUA they need a ring lamp. The lounge area is separate and very spacious. TV is good, bed was fine, robes and slippers provided. Everything was adequate. I called for ice bucket it came super quick. The room is very good value for money. You go to the main building for breakfast and good choice of both hot and cold buffet, veggie sausages done on request plus theres an extra menu for extra charge. Prices at Smiths bar and restaurant are overcharged.

What an awful stay! Room stinks, bathroom floor comes off on the walls there is marks like something has leaked from the room above. Rooms are so hot and air conditioner is not working. Floor has not been hoovered, tv is outdated , mirror is broken. I wish i could find anything positive about my stay. I could not even sleep at night as the room got so hot it is just impossible and for me this is one of the main things the hotel should provide a good night of sleep.
