They're served steaming hot, tender, juicy, and the spicy kick is sure to excite your taste buds. To ensure you don't miss out, it's best to arrive around 4-5 PM before they sell out.

The tamales here are fantastic! I live in Covington and make the trip to the Westbank whenever I crave tamales. I really wish we had an Old Athletes in Covington!

I have been eating these tamales since I was a young kid. I visit there Avondale stand. I bring 4-5 containers so I can get juice and freeze them. They have never changed the recipe and that is what makes there tamales the best !!!!!!!! This place gets so much business for being a stand off the road and only from 4:00-10:00PM. My entire family and friends knows about these tamales. They are an icon for folks that grew up around New Orleans. You have to know where there stands are located.
