Las Tapas - Greystones

We enjoyed a lovely evening here last night. While it was very busy the service was excellent! We were very well looked after. The food was superb and atmosphere overall was fab :

Love this place and eat here regularly. Food was delicious and both waiters were excellent. But on this occasion my friend almost ate a small stone in her salad she felt it in her mouth and luckily her teeth weren’t damaged. She spoke to the manager. The bill came and only the salad was removed and we were charged for a starter we didn’t order and had sent back. The manager was approached by staff and to be honest came over to our table in a very confrontational manner. He started telling us how rigourous a washing process the salad goes through to the point where there was an insinuation my friend had lied about the stone? He said he had removed the dish and what more did we want? We were offered a round of drinks which we politely declined and he then very reluctantly took my friends 2 other dishes off the bill. I didn’t like the way he spoke to us, there was really no apology at all and I didn’t like how the whole situation was handled, which is a shame because I like eating here.

Just popped in for a drinks and a few nibbles had calamari, prawns, patatas bravas and garlic bread food very good and hot excellent despite some negative reviews. Only complanint would be the waitress who was very surly and somewhat rude not what you want. She seemed to have a real issue with us swopping table when we sat down and we had to go inside the restaurant to ask her to come and take our order.

Food is not even close to Real spanish food, poor quality of products, overcooked paella, tomato sauce from the jar not from real tomatoes, dry calamari, only padrone peppers seems to be tasty. I will certainly not come back there.

Really lovely vibe from this place, like stepping back in time to Cheers coloured decor, but was in dire straits and Susie very kindly helped me this evening. This is a lovely little place as the good grades shoe, just a short step up from greystones dart Station.
