Oh, and the German treat with strawberries and bananas was also quite the treat. We shared both meals and will restart our diet in a few days. It's 45 minutes away and worth the ride.
This is a great place to eat on Saturday morning if you don't like cooking breakfast and want some pancakes. Pancake with delicious. I ordered eggs soft not running this seems to be a hard task. Except that everything else is decent would probably have got an omelette.
Occupied, so there was an hour waiting only to be seats. The servers were slower than usual but found out that they were short employees, so they really get good things to customers and food. Eating was all very tasty waiters we had was nothing but wonderful. There was also another lady who had just walked around to feel coffee and water, she could for every table... only negative is the old lady at the door review and sitting people she was somehow rude not very friendly. Other then, so very happy with the whole.
The baked apple cake was delicious. Hard to say photos, but inside the pancakes are loads of apple slices (like cake filling). I'll eat here again when I'm in town. I would recommend The Original Pancake House if someone asked for a good place for breakfast / brunch in the area.
We're long time patrons of the Pancake House in Grosse Pointe, since the mid 1980s. In all that time, the quality of the food has remained consistently good even through Covid. The pancakes are tender and the omelets are delicious! It is pricier than some other breakfast spots, but the serving sizes are generous so we always have enough leftover for breakfast at home the next day.
