Cosy restaurant with friendly service and great kitchen. Absolutely recommended.

A bit hard to find (only once seen), but for hikers very good place as a starting point for many hiking tours.

We were warmly and kindly received. Our son, too, was warmly welcomed and supplied with toys. In beautiful and loving ambience we could eat very tasty. We were all happy and happy to come back.

We wanted to take a short break on a bike tour. “Zum Wanderfreund” is a very cozy restaurant, furnished with love. I wonder, however, until now, why at us when entering the place, and before we could even say something that Wirtin had a very strict look and asked us literally: “What do you want here, please?” I thought. Okay, we were athletic, yet not kind of dirty. We didn't reserve a table either, you can't plan it right for bike tours. But not even that could be the reason for the cause, already because of the name “Zum Wanderfreund”. When I expressed the wish we wanted to drink something, she murmured something from the table that we chose. So we waited. After a while the host has come to the table, the candle has lit... it was probably with “making clean”. During the time spent in the restaurant, the hostess has managed to tell the neighboring table not just flattering stories about past guests. I don't think that's professional. So it was a visit with a bitter aftertaste, because unfortunately not even the best and tasty dishes help. Too bad.

As always, it was a very good food and of course we were served very cordially again. Thank you for the beautiful Sunday. We like to come back.
