Our room had a seating area with a round table and chairs, as well as a beautiful refrigerator and coffee machine that were very useful. The beds were very comfortable and we all agreed that we had a great night's sleep. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda every morning with our coffee and muffin, soaking up the morning sun with the other guests. In addition to the comfort of our room, the reception staff was available around the clock and very helpful in giving us directions and advice on the best way to travel to New York by train, as well as recommendations on where to eat. The housekeeping staff was equally great and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and going out of their way to assist with changing towels and making sure we had everything we needed. We had a very pleasant stay at Groton Inn and Suites and would highly recommend this beautiful hotel!
Comfortable bed I slept like a log. Clean bathroom, good towels. The walls haven’t been painted in probably 30 years. The rug hasn’t been vacuumed in weeks (which is really weird, considering the bathroom was clean. My guess is the vacuums need to be serviced aren’t really working). Also, the maid let herself into my room at 9am to ask when I would be checking out! What?! I was standing there in my underwear and she just proceeded to ask me when I’d be checking out! I said, “At checkout time?” Lol.PAINT YOUR WALLS AND FIX YOUR VACUUMS, PEOPLE. MAKE AN ATTEMPT! Have some fun playing hotel owner, and trying to do the best job you can at it.Very nice front desk staff and cleaning people (even though that maid was a little too friendly, lol).
Here for a few months with my family, we had an apartment type room with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, the whole 9 yards, not huge but my wife an I loved not having a larger place to clean. During a snow storm I got stuck on the property an a maintenance man helped pulled my car out which was great cause I had to get to work. Also another guest knew we had a baby and offered to help get us things we needed cause we were stuck there during the storm. Our oldest son was in a car accident and Sheena the manager tried to find us the video of his car to help with the insurance claim. Had an issue with the wifi an they knocked $45 off our bill which was nice. Cleaning ladies were always kind. Kristi helped give us a good deal when our original room was booked out by mistake. Lisa and Kristi have walked all the way over here to give us new keys when they expired. My favorite part was that the owners lived next to us and would cook all the time, if my wife smelled curry, it made my wife crave curry, if she smelled seafood, my wife craved seafood and she would cook it as well, I enjoyed! Very thankful we found this place, if my wife is happy, I'm happy.
Our family was in a bad spot after losing our home recently and while needing to keep our son in his school we found Groton Inn. At first we were charged double by mistake, however, things happen, it's how they are dealt with that matters most to me and Sheena (the manager) worked magic all day just to get that money back to me within that same day. The cleaning ladies are incredibly kind, even when they pass me in the hall they ask if I need anything. The maintenance people are also incredibly kind and personable as they helped me darken a bedroom for my baby to sleep better in. At one point the dryer was taking longer than normal and the lady at the desk offered to keep the laundry mat open for me. The place is more like a community and honestly they made a hard situation much more bearable for myself and my family. Thank you to everyone at Groton InnPSThe person who left a review named Stephanie is a liar. We stayed there while she and 15 friends were there for a party weekend. Her an her friends were drunk the whole time DAY an NIGHT, did a strip show in the windows when I pulled up with my baby but this genius here on the first floor leaving the curtains open is how everyone could see the clouds of smoke and she was probably hit with a smoking fine. I was on the third floor and heard their craziness. I actually never care what others do, you do you but all of them driving drunk was ridiculous. All other guest parked across the lot cause none of us wanted to be hit. An ur so called friends were trash talking u in the hallway for being a stripper, maybe that's how u got the itch! Lisa at the desk is the lady who left the laundry mat open for me and is the sweetest lady. You can't negativity effect everyone around you and call them the Karen's if they are all unhappy about it. The fact that you would just throw the race card out there at the end shows ur true character! Look within yourself!!
I came to this restaurant looking for a quick meal. The atmosphere in the lobby was welcoming and the receptionist was friendly. However, I was given a room on the outskirts of the property where I felt like I was being monitored by shady individuals. There were suspicious characters outside and hidden surveillance cameras in the sprinkler system. The room was unclean with flies buzzing around, and the windows were sealed shut. The shower was too filthy to use. After requesting a room change, I was moved to the main building, but the new room was also dirty and the bathroom flooded when I used the shower and toilet. I did not notice any suspicious activities in the new room, however, I later learned that this establishment is blacklisted by the military. The staff mentioned that they have contracts with the military. On July 6th, 2022, I received a threatening call from a man named Mr. Armaius who demanded to know my location, threatening to call the commander. Despite trying to reason with him, he yelled and then hung up abruptly.
