The Mystic Cheese - Groton

It was great. How can you go wrong with cheese on the grounds? If you go in, you can see cheese curing in large wheels through the windows. The shop is in an industrial area, but inside is very warm and welcoming. They have wine, snacks and grilled cheese. All small touches, and great service made this a great experience. There is also a brewery right next door.

The Mystic Cheese Company is the coolest little cheese shop. My pictures are pre-Covid, and we haven't been there since everything closed, so hopefully the information in my review is still accurate. Before Covid, Mystic Cheese made tasting events quite regular, and we were really enjoying them! I think we have four different tastings, one made with wine, one with beer, one with mixed drinks and I can't remember which drinks have accompanied the fourth tasting. Each pairing of drinks and cheese was well thought out and well paired, but I think our favorite is still the wine and cheese pairing. We were also here for grilled cheese (excellent!! and cheese plates. They have wine and beer available to buy in the shop, along with crackers, jams and the like. They make their own cheese and sell it in case along with other delicious options. They even let us bring a cake to celebrate a birthday (no Dessert sold here). The owner and the staff are happy about what they do. It is a small place, but they make the best of the room, and I love you to see the cheese aging in the next room.

Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly employees who really love their product and share it with customers. We've tried a few pussies after we talked about what kind of guy we were interested in, and I could be honestly ran away, everything we tried was unique and tasty. I can't wait to go back. Their grilled cheeses were also classic preparations but completely perfect. The mustard was curious and I wish I was wondering if it was for sale.

Delicious cheese and the best pizza. Well made cheese, no matter what style you get, but if you made pizza there with three different cheeses, the results are amazing! Not only the cheese amazing, but the crust is the best around. Come here for all your appetizers or dinner needs! I can't wait to try her grilled cheese!
