We ate here after I researched on Trip advisor. The reviews looked good and I fancied the hot rock steak. There were including children although one was having adult meals. The food was great and my steak was amazing, a good piece and...nice and tender. The only slight let down was the service, they forgot my daughters main course and her drink, there should be an extra member of staff when it is busy. Also we got a few looks from couples who might have been there for a quiet meal but we went early and kids will always be a bit noisy. The drinks weren't cheap neither especially beer which comes in a small bottle but that is everywhere in France so is to be expected. Overall excellent and the best meal I had whilst in France.

We had a nice meal at this restsurant. The staff was very friendly and The food good. We had tapas and cuttlefish. A nice wiev over the harbour.

We made the effort to find this restaurant based on the other review and it was so worth it. We shared the tomato bread with ham for a starter that was delicious and just the right amount to share. We both then had the steak...that arrived on the volcanic stone and you cook at your table. It was the best steak we have ever had. It melted in the mouth and was huge. The home made Roquefort sauce was delicious with it and we both struggled to finish the fries and salad! Dessert was the homemade choux bun with ice cream and chocolate sauce and this was huge too and completely delicious. We shared house white wine and had complimentary dessert wine and then coffees and cognac. It was a great experience and with lovely staff. At the end of the night when we couldn't get a taxi the owner dropped us back to our hotel!!! Fully recommend this restaurant!! It was superb!!!

We cannot recommend highly enough this excellent little restaurant in Gruissan Port, Rive gauche; The reception from our very friendly host was absolutely first class we were instantly made to feel most welcome. He was also very helpful in describing dishes from the menu...and discussing and recommending local wines to go with our choices. The service was quick considering we were ten in our party and our starters were an excellent tomato bread with Serrano ham, mussels stuffed with aioli (garlic mayonnaise) and then dusted with walnuts and then grilled, beef carpaccio and the shelled broad beans cooked in olive oil with chorizo. The quantity of tomato bread and ham was huge so was readily shared around the group. For mains one of our party chose the pika pika' which was a large slate with every one of the tapas dishes offered. Substantial but not offputting in quantity, it was a really excellent choice. Two of our group went for the sea bass cooked en papilotte' with leeks and a mild curry sauce. Two more went for the wonderful razor clams, cooked on the griddle with garlic and parsley, and the rest of the party chose the amazing Aubrac steak which you cooked at your table on a hot lava rock. This was accompanied by a sumptuous Roquefort sauce. There was still room for dessert so most of us chose the beautifully light home made choux bun which was filled with vanilla ice cream and smothered in hot chocolate sauce. Creme brulee and a home made chocolate and orange meringue tart were also chosen. We were offered complimentary digestifs and coffees to be taken on the terrace. With all of our aperitifs, three bottles of wine, two of sparkling water and all meals, the price including tip came out at euros per person. All in all a wonderful experience which will be revisited at the earliest possible opportunity.
