We came to lunch and had absolutely delicious dishes local... Ingredients with a spin. I had a really hard time choice as everything on the menu sounds delicious. Fabrizio is very passionate about providing a great food experience and I am so glad he is there. The location is stunning with stunning views of the Diablerets Massif. The restaurant can be reached by car, but is also at the end of several breathtaking mountain hikes, which also work on your appetite. Lac Retaud is also good for a refreshing bath after a hot summer walk, so bring your minds. The terrace offers shaded and sunny places and offers you a variety of views whatever you like. The interior was tastefully rebuilt and will be cozy and comfortable in winter. Well done Fabrizio and the team! This is a place worth a visit for lovers of good food, good wine and stunning views and I recommend it thoroughly!
This is the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Utter incompetence and unprofessionalism on the part of the server and the manager. They don't speak French Only 1 white wine available. Only 1 waitress and 1 chef and 1 manager for the entire restaurant....Waitress is clearly 1st time on the job after the starter , she asked if we wanted anything else such desert or coffee. Didn't think that we may want to eat our main dish. Open wine was an average chasselas 8chf per glass Starter was a simple salad vert (lettuce and olive oil 10chf Main (which was on the starter menu was trilogy of fish for 28chf each. It took 90 minutes to serve that to 2 people. Eventually when we tried to pay by card , the manager said he has no card machine. Nowhere is it written that they take only cash. I offered to transfer into his account on the spot via ebanking. He said he has no bank account. I offered to send cash by post he refused. He then asked for my driver's license which i assume he was going to take a copy of. He stuck it away and told me to go the village (30min drive and draw cash. I told him I would not and I can not drive without my licence. As reached for my license he pulled it away and held it behind him. He insisted I leave something of value behind which i refused to do because I have no plans to return. He eventually realised that his only option was to take a copy of my card and trust that I pay him (via post He tossed me his business card and refused to say good bye. So clearly he and the waitress are part time employees of the owner , whi us not present and have little competence to run a restaurant . Avoid at all costs.
We live in Lausanne and were curious about the new style of this restaurant. We had checked their menu on line and had been looking forward to their lasagne dish (Lasagne aux champignons des bois, Ris de veau, taleggio de Gstaad et émulsion de laitue,...for CHF 29) during our hike around the Palette d'Isenau. After we had been seated, we checked with the waitress that the lasagne was indeed available, and ordered it. Over 30 minutes later we were served lukewarm, salty tagliolini without a word of explanation. As by then we were starving, we ate it without fuss, but before we left we discreetly told the manager that the change of dish had not been OK with us. We were astonished by his aggressive reaction, he did not apologize in any way, and we were charged CHF 32 per dish. We are well traveled and in our opinion this restaurant is a badly managed tourist trap, way below certain stylish mountain restaurants that may have inspired it. We certainly do not recommend it.
I had an extremely good experience at the restaurant. After an amazing hiking we sit at the restaurant for a well diserved meal. The food was great. It is a good mixture of traditional food with new way of revisiting them. I took an amazing...beef tartare. The way it was served and presented was fantastic an explosion of sense. Highly recommended
