Chart House - gstowne

Ordered a $50 prime rib. Asked for it medium rare. When it arrived to the table, it literally looked like it was out of the package. Cold to the touch. Sent it back to the kitchen. Came back well done. Cooks are either inexperienced or incredibly petty. Was so disappointed.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to eat. Pretty sure Applebee’s has better steaks. This is my second time eating here and it was just as bad as the first time. The first time I went, the service was horrible and the food wasn’t great. Thought I would give them a second chance, got the same result. Serviced was horrible and the food was bland and tasteless. If you go to a Chart House, go to Chart House Prime in Annapolis, that place is the real deal.

We were handed the wrong menus, and then left to sit about 15-20 minutes without any waiter...we gave up and just left.

 I was celebrating my birthday. When I made the reservations, I asked for a romantic table for Two and that I was celebrating a birthday. When I arrived, they had a menu that said happy birthday to you and they seated us exactly where I asked them to. The food was good. The coconut shrimp appetizer was excellent. I had the prime rib mashed potatoes, which was very good. And lastly, they brought out a birthday cake, but I had also ordered the hot lava chocolate that was amazing. Overall experience was perfect. We had a great view of the boats and the water. It was a great time celebrating my birthday at the chart house.

We really enjoyed our table and thought the food was going to be great...but... We started with a couple appetizers which were delicious so it was a great start! And then, mains....my son ordered the fried shrimp, I ordered the Mac Mahi and my mom ordered the Kind crab... The fried shrimp was okay, the crab kegs were good but the Mahi wasnt...at all. What was disappointing is that the server didn't even check on our meals and when it came time to clear the table, she clearly saw I only ate a bite of it but didn't ask if something was wrong. Very upsetting for the amount we spent on dinner.
