Mackie's Grill - gstowne

We had a lovely dinner with great food and service. Our server was wonderful and his love for his craft made our dinner that much more enjoyable. The other staff we interacted with also seemed to love working at Mackie’s. These interactions made this an especially memorable dinner.

First time here. Had the Phoenix wings, cooked to crispy perfection. Great flavor and a super kick...BEWARE if you can't handle heat. It was Monday and they had half off of their dry aged burger, perfect time to try if it's your first time. Burger was solid, not too flavorful, but not bad either...it was IN THE GROOVE. Bartender (CHARLES) made great drinks and was attentive, there were a few Regulars there but he didn't leave me hanging. This will definitely be one of my new weekly spots.

The food was great and fresh. The service was excellent. Very attentive without hovering. Since it was our first visit, we were allowed a little extra time to peruse the menu. There were so many great selections that we will definitely be back.

Be warned this place does not honor reservations made on OpenTable. Reserved a table for Packers playoff game and was told by the host that “we don’t do reservations” and “people have been here for two hours just ordering beer to keep their tables”. This restaurant should not offer reservations if they do not actually take reservations. Ruined plans with out of town friends who were in town to watch the Packers game at the Packers bar. Very disappointed and will not be visiting and will be telling fellow Packers friends and visitors to not go here.

Restaurant does not honor OpenTable reservations. Place looked fun and perfect for the game but unfortunately does not honor reservations so was not able to eat here. Restaurant should not be on OpenTable and at the very least should note in their description that they do not take reservations on game days. Would have planned accordingly and come early to secure a table if they gave any indication.
