Feedback gevenSlow service, food was edible but not worth it. They advertise liquor but don't have any yet, say they will have soon, which is good! Definitely wait until they have booze before giving them a go. We got spicy garlic edemame, fried gyoza, and black garlic ramen. The ramen was the best but barely. ?
Could be better. The food needs more flavor. The tofu tasted like it just got out of the package cold and tasteless. There was only one guy serving the whole restaurant and the takeout, but our food did not take long to be prepared. He brought the check when I was still eating and for me that’s rude.Vegetarian options: Only one vegan option.
Ramen tasted as though the broth was hot but the ingredients such as the pork and egg was cold. Disappointed.
My family and I stopped by on a lazy weekend afternoon. We got the black garlic ramen. The noodles were nice and chewy and the egg was perfection. The soup base was good too but personally I think there was too much black garlic oil, which make the soup very thick and a bit too salty. The service is slow but the employees are kind.
Saturday night after Thanksgiving and we honestly just wanted to cancel the order after 45 minutes and yet continued to wait. The problems started when at first walked in: Despite only one table with customers, we waited 5 minutes for our presence to be acknowledged to place an order to go: 2 orders of ramen and 1 order of dumplings. That 's all we ordered and yet... We were told the order would take 30 minutes repeatedly, as if they we 're begging us just to not order and leave Came back after 20 minutes to a new employee and had to hand over my receipt to prove I had previously place an order. He came back 10 minutes later to confirm the order and told us we would need to wait longer. Waited inside as a local man sat at a table hallucinating and talking to himself loudly. While I appreciate being kind to the unhoused population, we could not hold a conversation over his ramblings. At this time, we were the only customers there. 45 minutes in, we ask for an update and told that our dumplings are still being made. Bear in mind, we are the only customers at the restaurant so it is not like they are overwhelmed. When we suggest that customers be told that dumplings might take a hour (why ?!?!?!? prior to ordering, employee tells us that they are too busy to manage all the businesses and we just have to deal. Again, we are the only customers there!!!! We are now approaching waiting an hour for just 3 items. We again ask for an update. Our ramen is brought to us and has been sitting for over 30 minutes packaged up for no apparent reason and still no dumplings. At no point is a discount or free item offered to make up for the inconvenience. Finally dumplings arrive and we quickly leave. When we get home, we realize that we got two tonkatsu broths and not one shoyu and one tonkatsu. The amount of broth doesn 't even cover the noodles. And the dumplings are cold in the middles as they were undercooked. I acknowledge that ramen is always better when eaten right away, but the presence of the hallucinating man made us very uncomfortable to eat in. Ordering 3 items to go should not take a hour. We were treated like we were annoying door dash drivers and not the actual paying customers. Horrible customer service and blah food. Much rather make the drive Costa Mesa for a far superior experience.
