This is a non profit organization and although I don't really understand the concept of it, I wanted to try their baked goods and support it. I had chi tea which was amazing. They make their own blend and it had a very earthy flavor and I loved it! We got a variety of pastries and of course I forgot what the flavors were but I did take pics! I tasted everything. Somewhat of an acquired taste, tge chocolate gnash was very good. Biscotti was a bit too crunch for my liking but the taste was good. Hubby wasn't won over but I'll keep working on him!
What a sweet little bakery in Gualala, California!! This was such a little gem and I was so happy that I found this bakery on our recent trip. While the town of Gualala is quite tiny, there are some great spots like sweet life bakery. While I'm not vegan, I am curious about vegan baking and I was interested to see what this bakery offered! I was really blown away by the shortbread bars!! Rather than butter, they used coconut oil and the shortbread bars tasted like the Somoa Girl Scout cookies, with decadent caramel and a nice bitter dark chocolate. I was also really blown away by the chai tea, it tasted very authentic. The Hungarian goulash lunch was also really nice, it was very flavorful and a nice warm treat on a rainy day. Finally, I was not as impressed with the chocolate ganache tart, it had an odd aftertaste. In all, if you're vegan, vegetarian, or just looking for some really tasty baked goods I would definitely recommend checking this place out on your trip to this beautiful coastal town
A most amazing venture with sweet and delicious accessories. Each and every day a special lunch. Call in and be ready to be surprised. My true compliments.
We stopped here while visiting Gualala, and a delightful little stop it was. We had the savoury scone, the chocolate ganache pie, and the florentine. We loved each of these, and would recommend them, but the pie was especially heavenly with a bit of fragrant spice in the ganache and a moreish base.We also purchased some packaged goods here— the rose petal, almonds oats muesli, the fantastic vegan cheesy smokey seasoning and a capomo-based coffee alternative. All the food and drinks here are plant-forward/ vegan. I really wish this were a place I could frequent, but alas I live pretty far from Gualala. The people that run this place are very friendly, gracious too. Do not miss this place if you're in/ around Gualala!
Tout de Sweet Amazing little vegan bakery we discovered out in the middle of nowhere. In fact when you 're driving to the address you 'll think you 've taken a wrong turn as they 're plopped in the middle of a residential neighborhoods and a bit of an unexpected find. Unfortunately we only grabbed a few items but wish we sampled more. #NextTimeGadget The Good: *All vegan abs mostly organic bakery *They 're a nonprofit that hosts cooking classes and nutritional education. *Oatmilk Chai Latte was spectacular. Fantastic usage of spices and gotta love that oatmilk. *Carissa loved her chocolate chip muffin. *Owner/head baker was quite amiable and had a great sense of humor. The Meh: *Not a fan of their coconut macaroon; the texture was too crumbly and they used the dreaded marzipan in it. :X The Ugly: *What kind of bakery doesn 't open until 10 a.m.?! Well, evidently they used to open earlier but they changed the hours to reflect the clientele of the sleepy beach town. Tldr: Fantastic vegan bakery with a big heart.
