Curvão Surf House - Guarujá

Without a doubt the best place to hang out with locals in Guaruja.

3 stars for the staff, very kind and helpful. However, the place itself its so full that you spend more time in the queue then actually enjoying the place. First to enter in the place you go through a rigorous inspection which is ridiculous. There are 2 queues before you come in, female queue male queue. The female queue goes quickly. My friend and I got inside and we waited 45 minutes for my partner to come in afterwards. We waited patiently, and when he finally arrived, more queue to get drinks. The staff was handling pretty well, but it was so full that becomes disorganised. Anyway, great drinks, very pricey, full and no air conditioning.. Which is quite surprising for a bar in the beach. Overall very overrated and I highly recommend for people with patience.

Enter the Curvao and feel like you're part of this big amazing family ! Many locals come at night so a great way to practice your Portuguese with some cool ppl! Highly recommend. Just one advice to travelers: Be careful with your belonging in the streets of Garuja ; But hostel is very safe . Loved it!
