As an apology for bridging a greeting from the kitchen white bread with a pot of olive oil Balsamico Mix ? Then the appetizer salad came sometime. It was above all, but at the bottom in an olive oil bed : after a further 30 minutes the main dish was spaghetti with pesto and rocket. Tastefully, but as if there was an extra virgin olive oil bed. Furthermore, we had the Lasagne al Forno, which was also fine with taste, just a little small for the money. then we were allowed to wait 30 minutes for the bill. We then paid to the counter to avoid further waiting time. As an explanation there was that unfortunately only 2 pizzas fit into the stone oven!? Uh, fly over the text again?? We had no pizza and the little lasagna would have fit into a corner of the round oven.
My friend and I were on the way, as I said, and were looking for a relaxed restaurant and then pushed to La Taverna. A great ambience and delicious dishes.
Very relaxed, warm furnished Italian restaurant. Italian basics with recommendations from the kitchen on tables. Nice, quick operation. Depending on where you sit, you can watch the pizza baker over the shoulders and into a huge stone oven. All dishes are freshly prepared and are very delicious.
You can anticipate the delivery of a quality product when you enter this restaurant, because you can see the large stone baked pizza oven. There is plenty of seating inside and out in the garden, but I would still advise booking a table, to avoid disappointment. We had two types of garlic bread to share. One was spicy and the other was regular, but both were beautiful. The lightly fried whitebait fish were enjoyed by everyone. The mains took some time to arrive, but I guess you can't rush perfection, although it did give our group more time to talk, as the sun went down and the candles and lanterns were lit and turned on.I had spaghetti alla parmigiano, which was heavenly. There was an abundance of cheese already in the bowl, so I didn't have to request extra cheese as I normally have to do in other restaurants and everyone else enjoyed their mains, which included; vegetarian pizza, ham and cheese pizza, and salmon with spaghetti. The owner, Mario and his wife are welcoming and the staff are competent in their duties, and I would say this is the top Italian restaurant in the area and would definitely recommend a visit.
A year ago I was in Gutersloh and kept a memory of wonderful pizza. But, unfortunately, not at this place. The pizza was Ok, but not more than that. The beer was fantastic, like everywhere. Nothing special to tell about.
