I came here with a group of Italians friends, so the pressure was on! The place had a nice decor vibe and we ordered a few dishes to share scallops (really good! , octopus (average , croquettes (didn’t like. The filling was a little “ sad” and coating had not much “crunch” in it , crostini porchetta (amazing! and the pizzas..buonissimo! Classico pizza (which is aka Parma at some other restaurants is really spot on. Crust is beautiful and light (not chewy at all , plus the ingredients are fresh of quality..yum! The guys had carne pizza and they loved it. Dessert: panna cotta was good, tiramisù was disappointing (barely any coffee, too much cream , zeppole was ok (I just wished it was pipping hot, fried, straight out of the pan but the salted caramel sauce was amazing and wasn’t overly sweet. Overall, the food was good, nice atmosphere, Service nothing to complain about. Well..It is now one of my favourite pizza joint! Def worth the travel :
This is my second time coming for dinner and I have to say, it was absolutely incredible! They decor and ambiance is lovely and relaxed and though it has concrete floors it is not a loud restaurant. <br/ <br/ We were shown our table (we booked) and were promptly offered water and when our water and menus arrived we were offered drinks. I had a negroni which was made perfectly and arrived surprisingly fast.<br/ <br/ Throughout the entire dinner we were taken care of by attentive owner and his staff. I couldn't believe I was in Perth, I was so impressed by the service! <br/ <br/ The menu is rather extensive with a choice of tapas, pasta, pizza and salads. There was a good variety of traditional Italian meals which I appreciated and by the looks and smells of all the food going by, I knew it was going to be good again. <br/ <br/ My boyfriend and I shared the ham and cheese croquettes, beef carpaccio, Polpette pomodoro (meatballs) and the salsiccia pizza. Each and every bite was absolutely delicious. The pizza was the best I have had in a long time, the dough was the right amount of crispy and chewy, the salsiccia so authentic it reminded me of my Nonna! <br/ <br/ I would highly recommend Locale Mio and I will definitely be coming back. <br/
Locale Mio, Italian tapas and pizza restaurant, opened recently in Johnson Street behind the Guildford Hotel. It is a stylishly set up room, a dark tile serving area giving pride of place to a copper wood fired pizza oven, moving along to a striking bar with a wall of spirits behind it, wall murals and very comfortable leather look chairs.
Disappointment on many planes. we were reminded when we set ourselves, we had two hours, which was good. Unfortunately, the food service was not fast with our net comes with just 20 minutes to go. we speak 5 pastas and a pizza. not sure why this takes so long. After 2 hours we were told that we were pulled out for our desserts. we have rejected this because it was not our fault that the service was slow, so we did not have desserts or coffee. the food was average. the journeys were better than the net, but nothing special. my pizza was served on a dish and was so wet when I took a slice up, the beats fell off. I had to roll the discs into a tube to eat. tasted enough, but very awkward...read more
*rating is a 3.5* finally got around the attempt of this Italian restaurant at the back of the guildford hotel. here as group dined and between us we divided: mushroom arancini (nice) antipasto platter (ok) pizza (very good) capretto (disappointing, not very aromatic) patatine (nice) salad (insalata locale mio good) cannoli (standard) tiramisu (very alcoholic, no fan) panacotta (compare average) service was excellent, ambiente is great and the place was full on a Sunday night...read more
