Feedback gevenI recently visited the Guildford location and was impressed by the welcoming and conversational front of house staff. The food and drinks were delicious. However, I have not given it 5 stars due to the long waiting times, even though the restaurant was not busy. The food service area was crowded with plates waiting to be taken to tables. Despite this, everything else was perfect.
The meal took 35 minutes to arrive. The fries were hard and extremely crispy The burger bun was toasted with the sides burned,
Food was ok but the staff (especially the lady) was very rude. Our order was delayed around half an hour, once we asked for it she responded not informative and she was very rude because we didn’t thank to her. update: she followed us after we leave and chased and keep communicating rudely to us.
We were served by Hritik and the assistant manager that night, their service was excellent nothing was to much trouble. The food we all had was excellent, I had one of the best Burgers I have ever had with the fantastic thick chips. I also had the Strawberry milkshake again one of the best I’ve ever had. Also the house white wine which was very palatable. We will definitely be returning.
I was expecting better as I had eaten there a few weeks earlier when the food and service were good. This time however, the chef seemed to have tipped a jar of salt into the food the burger was crunchy with salt which seemed to make up about half the burger! It was totally inedible. The side salad and coleslaw were also too salty, and the potato wedges were heavily coated in salt. I managed to wipe off the worst of it and eat a few. A complete waste of money. The surly waiting staff also avoided asking 'How is your meal? ' as is usual. They must have known how bad it was. I 'm deleting my GBK app and will never return.
