The Half Moon Inn - Guildford

The half moon is a lovely pub, great staff, great home cooked food and very welcoming people. Would definitely recommend coming here

Staying here For 7 days Rooms very clean food, excellent. Close to amenities Staff very friendly and helpful.

We were staying in the hotel opposite but were unable to get a table there last night. In pouring rain we went to the Half Moon. Excellent pub,great food, relatively cheap, nice clientele and old fashioned lady Owner/Manager. Brilliantly run with lovely real ale as well. All round a great place which we would highly recommend!

The restaurant offers delicious pub food in a warm and inviting environment. Kim prepares fantastic chilli and Thai Red curry that is both spicy and satisfying, served with a smile and friendly conversation. The staff is welcoming and the overall atmosphere is very friendly. I highly recommend this pub.

The entrance is like arriving at a shabby hostel the room was not very sound proof (we could hear all the noise from the pub below) the room was not clean at all, especially the kettle which was absolutely disgusting, and there was dirt around the toilet seat. The room was small and cold. The radiator came on for a few minutes, but we had no control over the heat. The furniture in the room was cheap and shabby. Breakfast was disappointing also (tinned tomatoes, dry overcooked sausages). The only good things were that the 2 members of staff we encountered were friendly and the shower was good. This was in no way worth over £100 for 1 night. I wrote to the hotel to complain before submitting a review, but had no response. I would never stay here again a terrible waste of money and a real disappointment in what was meant to be a treat for my husband.
