The King's Head - Guildford

Visited to observe the cl finale. pub was crowded, but service remained friendly and efficient. a very good pub!

What a wonderful dining experience! My wife ordered the roast beef, but unfortunately, they accidentally served her roast pork instead. Now I find myself wishing I had chosen the pork! I had a delicious dish of fried potatoes with bacon and cheese, which was absolutely amazing. We both struggled to finish our meals because they were so generous in portions. Overall, it was excellent value for money, and the staff were really friendly.

We headed to Guildford to visit our daughter and had made a reservation a couple of days in advance to treat her to a meal. The pub was spacious and charming. The staff were friendly and attentive, and our food and drinks arrived promptly through the app. I enjoyed a delicious haddock with a crispy batter—a generous portion of fish. My daughter loved her buffalo wings, while my wife had a plant-based burger that she said was excellent (though I’ll have to take her word for it, as it's not something I'm familiar with!). Overall, we had a very comfortable experience, and I would definitely return. I think adding steak to the menu would be a fantastic idea. I highly recommend this place!

We had a lovely family Sunday lunch on August 2, 2020. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The roast beef was cooked to perfection. Our waitress, Amelia, was very attentive and helpful, especially with our picky eater. We didn’t have to wait long for service or our food. The atmosphere was relaxed, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The pub itself was very clean, with sparkling restrooms. The management team is doing a fantastic job handling the COVID-19 situation. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
