Guilford Lobster Pound

The lobster rolls are absolutely amazing! I ordered a lobster roll and the Georgia Spicy hot dog, and both were fantastic. They not only looked great but tasted even better. If you're in the area, you definitely need to check this place out. The customer service was excellent as well. Just a heads-up: it's cash only, so make sure to bring some cash with you. However, they do have an ATM on site in case you forget.

We are back three years later. It is as good as we remember. The lobster is tender and cooked perfectly?. Buttery and delicious! BYOB. The setting/location is perfection. The service is friendly and warm. Don?t skip this gem!

Wow, what an amazing surprise! I have to start by raving about the Lobster Rolls – they were absolutely to die for! This is what the place is famous for, and it's easy to see why. We visited around 2 PM on a late September day. The restaurant is a small shack right on the dock, and while it may look simple, the view perfectly captures the charming, unpretentious essence of New England. Normally, dining on picnic benches in a little shanty isn't my usual style, but we were drawn in by the promise of those Lobster Rolls and the beautiful location. As for the wait staff, they were fantastic! They were not only friendly but also had a great sense of humor. You could tell they really enjoyed what they do.

I've tried many lobster rolls, both traditional and otherwise, and this place offers the freshest and most generous rolls I've ever encountered. There are no frills here, but the service is incredibly friendly. The prices are also very reasonable given the generous amount of delicious lobster meat you receive.

Pricey $24 per lobster roll as of summer 2022) but tasty and fresh lobster. Not quite enough lobster for the price. Get there right at opening in order to avoid a wait. Friendly staff and would recommend. Cash only, so make sure to bring some! Venue is nice- right on the water with picnic tables, good for family and kids.
