Daiquiri Shack - Gulf Lagoon Beach

This place has been in PCB since I can remember as a kid ill soon be 56 in November my entire family loves this place and as long as it's here we will always get our daiquiri here can't say nothing bad about it and please don't ever go cashless.....

You’d think in 2023 a business, especially one on the beach would add the capability to process NFC payments. (Apple Pay, Google Pay, tap cards) Nowadays, an increasing number of people are leaving their wallets behind and relying on mobile payments, since we are all now just glued to our smartphones. Hell, even most states, including Florida, have digital drivers’ licenses that are secure and can be accessed via an app. And not everyone wants to have to keep up with a wallet that can easily get lost on the beach or in the water, especially since not all swimwear even has pockets. Apparently this place has not gotten with the times and has zero desire to do so. (I totally 100% got that vibe when I explained to them it’s almost universal acceptance and extremely tiny cost to implement) You can literal buy an NFC reader that can be hooked up to a credit card terminal for about the cost of a 32 oz daiquiri. So if they are really so short-sighted that they are unwilling to make such a ridiculously tiny investment that would pay for itself within 1 or 2 sales, then I will take my business elsewhere and you should too.

We ate at Hook'D early in the week and really enjoyed it. We like it so well that returned later in the week. We vacation in PCB one week a year and first at here 3 years ago. The prices, portions and staff are the reasons we returned. Bartender, Cody, was very friendly and accommodating. I recommend the grouper sandwich platter. You get a large portion of fish and cooked any way you want it. All the staff was very friendly. A great experience. Will return next year. Recommend going early and eating inside out of the hot sun.

Walked in right off the street and got seated quickly. I ordered a Blue Lagoon which was good from the bar, pretty strong but still good. I ordered the gator tacos blackened and they were amazing specially with the pico I was given. Definitely wasn’t disappointed when I left.

The owners are incredibly friendly! I really appreciated the peach daiquiris, though they could have used a bit more liquor. Overall, a great experience!
