The Royal Oyster - Gulf Shores

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The bartender was not only friendly but also very knowledgeable. Our waitress, Kaitlin (is that the correct spelling?), was incredibly sweet and provided excellent service while being well-versed in the menu. The atmosphere is fantastic; the interior is cozy, making it a great spot for watching football. The outdoor area overlooks the water and features hammocks and live music, plus there's a giant Jenga set to enjoy. The menu is outstanding! Overall, this place is a hidden gem that is absolutely worth a visit. We can't wait to come back!

During our trip to Orange Beach for the New Year, we searched for great dining options and stumbled upon this hidden gem. We were pleasantly surprised at every level. The drinks were unique and incredibly delicious. We started with Irish coffee, which was perfect for the chilly weather and exceeded our expectations! We ordered oysters—six plain and six topped with various sauces. While all the oysters were excellent, the ones with sauces were spectacular. It’s hard to choose a favorite, but the ones with caviar topped with a champagne shot and the pickled pear variation were out of this world! We also tried the fried seafood platter, and I can confidently say it was the best fried seafood I've ever had. The curly fries were uniquely crunchy and absolutely fantastic. We travel from Texas to Georgia every year in search of great dining experiences, and this place is by far the best we've found yet. Don't miss out on this delightful spot!

The Royal Oyster's menu is a refreshing change from the usual raw bar or seafood restaurant. The food was fantastic! We tried three different varieties of oysters, some prepared their way and others with our own mix of hot sauce and horseradish, and all were fresh and delicious. The fried Brussels sprouts made for a great side dish with the oysters. For our main course, we shared a tender steak sandwich along with "sindewinders," a delightful combination of curly fries and steak fries. The honey ginger mule was a wonderful cocktail—perfectly balanced without being too sweet, and it was garnished with fresh mint from just outside the door. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

What I think about the Royal Oyster..... I 've been coming to the area for years and have never made so many trips 'back ' to the same place to eat. Marissa and her staff have something to be proud of. Craft beer, cocktails, chef specials and menu items, not to mention the location and the daily oysters. What a gem...love the place. You will not be disappointed..promise!

Been to several places in gulf shores. This is the best place by far! Amazing oysters, and fish sandwich was top notch! Everything is made in house! Our waitress Landen was AMAZING!
