It's delicious. But the Injera was quite delicious for me, but other people said it is not the taste of a true Ethiopian injera. If you're here, please pamper.
Food is exceptionally good at this place. Nothing more cozy than being here in the late hours, with a bunch of friends for something good food and business. Service is admirable and drinks are always served cold. Try the shaded menu items.
Hands down the best food I've ever had, in my life. Authentic, delicious Ethiopian food, attentive lovely staff, and a great local vibe. 20/10 recommend
Abyssinia is the best and only remaining Ethiopian restaurant in Gulu. It has ample seating both indoor and outdoor and the food is usually a 15-30 minute wait. If you are one or two people, get the half-special. It will cost you UGX12,000 and be enough to feed most folks. My younger self bicycling 40 miles a day would finish a full special myself. If you are a voracious eater, consider the challenge. Tibs, goro, and even the spaghetti are particularly good. The sauce comes with or without meat, giving vegetarians that rare flexibility. Get here, grab a beer, and enjoy an end of day dinner with friends.
