The house itself is really safe we had a big storm overnight! The owner Shalva and his wife Irina are extremely friendly and helpful, and is also definitely worth to order the dinner by them it was super tasty and a good mix. The location is great right next to the entrance to the park!
A lovely and relaxing place to stay for a few days at the foot of the beautiful Caucasus mountains.
We visited Nina's place quite a long time ago (few years! , but I still remember what a nice person She is and what a beautiful area is around the house! I've found the fb profile just now, kisses from Poland!
Nina's house is quiet and cozy, and as centrally located as it's possible to be in tiny Lagodekhi--just a few meters from the entrance to the National Park. Her hospitality is up to the Georgian par, and her food exceeds it by far. The attention to detail with the food is what makes it. We had thick matsoni, homemade cheese, perfectly fried potatoes, jonjoli, salad and beans for dinner with wine from Nina's garden and tea and jam for dessert. Breakfast was beans, eggs, pancakes, fried potatoes, more salad, bread and coffee. The rooms have recently been renovated, and the good water pressure and gas hot water make for an excellent shower after a long hike. My friend Devi and I normally camp to save money, but after hiking up to Black Rock Lake and back, we decided to treat ourselves by staying here. I'm glad we did.
