The coffee is tasty and does not contain chicory as claimed. The Ginger Lime and Ghee Roast dishes are also delicious, but the Masala Dosa with beetroot is disappointing. I personally dislike its taste. However, the Veg Biryani is fantastic - although you may need a microscope to find the vegetables! I remember a questionable experience at the Thrissur branch of this restaurant, where they served me a mix of fresh and stale biryani decades ago. The fresh biryani was cleverly layered on top, while the stale one was hidden at the bottom. When I brought up the issue, they slyly pointed out that I had already eaten half of the meal without complaint. I should have reported this to the health department. Despite having multiple branches across Kerala, I only trust their coffee now. It seems like they are trying to be too clever for their own good.
Guruvayoor Indian Coffee House, like all other ICH outlets, is a fantastic restaurant. The food is excellent and served with a smile. We are never surprised by the bill and their hospitality is outstanding. The wait staff never ask for or accept tips with the bill. The restaurant is very clean and the management is friendly.
Like many other restaurants in the area, the service at this establishment was lacking. When I visited around 3pm, there were limited menu options available. I ordered the chapati and sabji, but found them to be of poor quality.
It is famous for their vegetarian foods, especially cutlet and masala dosa. Masala dosa with beetroot is only available in ICH.
Crisp piping hot vadas, idlis with sambar n chutney are always highlight of this place since morning
