Gam's Delicacy - Guwahati

I tried the signature pork thali called Akhaj, but it did not make it to my top 10 list of pork thalis. The patot dia pork did not taste as described, the khorika pork lacked the khorika flavor, and the dal was not good. Overall, I would recommend visiting this restaurant occasionally, but there are many other restaurants with better pork dishes available. (I am not sure if highway dhabas have good pork dishes, but I have had better pork dishes in the city.)

This restaurant is well-maintained and offers a taste of Northeast Indian cuisine. They have a parking lot for cars and are surrounded by well-kept bamboo trees. There is also a small playground for children. Upon entering, we were greeted by the lovely aroma of bamboo shoots, which we later discovered was from bamboo shoot pickles. We ordered Assamese fish meal and Assamese pork dish. The fish meal consisted of 9 items, including a fish curry, fried small fish, and mashed small fish. The pork dish had 7 items, including boiled pork with gongura/coriander leaves and deep-fried pork. The food was delicious and presented authentically. We enjoyed an authentic dining experience. The vegetable thali was delicious, but the sesame boar did not meet expectations. The restaurant had a lovely ethnic decor and a good atmosphere. Hopefully, improvements in the future will lead to an even better dining experience.

Beautiful restaurant with the interieur carefully decorated with bambus. hygiene, food and service is top notch. this place serves authentic assamese cuisine. if they are in ahom gaon, near royal global university/ isnesty they must visit this place once.

Probably the one place where you can eat fine. eating is authentic assamic cuisine and in contrast to some restaurants that focus only on the ambiente, this place takes its taste very seriously. the tenga fish was the best choice and the smoked huh is definitiw one of the best available in the city
