I can only describe what we received as being below the standard one would get if made by a Ten year old child at home, I have enjoyed frozen packaged pizza with more soul than the joke we received from this establishment, it lacked everything a pizza requires to be a pizza. A pizza claiming to have Prosciutto should have Prosciutto not sliced up packaged ham!!! Cheese would've been nice as well but was absent not too mention Flavor or even a hint of smoke from the supposed wood fired oven. 3 and a half stars is way too generous for this establishment. As a visiting customer to Haberfield you stitched me up but you failed to consider that visitors to the area come to see relatives and friends that live locally as I grew up in Ashfield and married a local girl from Haberfield. Time to lift your Standards Dolcissimo.
We were very disappointed with the 2 pizzas and garlic pizza, we got take away, when home so so shocked, put it this way really was uneatable, $55 down the drain, pizza looked like made by a child, no cheese on either pizza, ham put on instead of prosciutto. On the ham n pineapple each slice was 1 small square of ham and 1 tin pineapple, no cheese, no taste, cold, hard to believe really, people get away with it, such bad reputation for haberfield very sad.
Been coming here for 30 years, it's still my favourite place in Sydney for Italian food. Pizza is just special and you got to try the affogato!!! Home made gelato by Vicky l, still the best in town!
Lovely people so accommodating and helpful. Served us promptly, but we were not rushed. They made us feel right at home. We popped in after a day at the library and shopping. We had the signature spaghetti marina, which was delicious, authentically Italian, and a generous serving. Yum yum yum!! My friend was so impressed she ordered takeaway meals for her sons. Definitely returning. Thank you :
The best way to describe it is a bit ordinary and tired. Would suit rural nsw more than the Sydney scene. Food is ordinary, partially redeemed by generous serves. Pizza is a notch above dominoes, but a long way from Italy levels. No drinks on the menu (and no separate drinks menu). They have ice-cream, but no desserts. Tablecloth was dirty. 2 of 8 glasses had food stuck on them. Ordered 3 of the same pasta dishes and they arrived at the table one at a time, with a gap of a few minutes in between. This happened for every other dish as well. Longer gaps between pizzas. Wait staff were distracted. One was wearing earphones. The other busy on mobile. Probably fine for non-Italians. But if you can whip up a good pasta there's no real need to seek the generous (although not cheap) serves this place offers. There are plenty of better Italian alternatives in Sydney.
