Yakiyan - Hacienda Heights

Yakiya is a unique BBQ restaurant in Hacienda Heights, CA. They serve a Prix-fixe menu with a variety of beef dishes. Food quality, service and environment are all good. As a Chinese restaurant, its good quality is unusual. The thin A5 Wagyu was my favorite. Some improvements: Beef Cheek had a good taste, but the meat was dry. Sorbet had a combination of acid, sweet, bitter and spicy. It was too complicated for me. It was about 48 degrees Fahrenheit outside. They opened a door that was connected to the seating area of the terrace. The terrace cold air made the dining room somewhat too cold. My friends felt uncomfortable. I told the manager and she was insensitive.

Had a wonderful experience here. The experience of the meal was wonderful as you learn and taste each of the courses on the Prix Fixe menu. I think it's a must-have experience at least once, but I'll be safe back for seconds. Reservations are usually one week or two out, so make plans early!

I brought my husband here for my birthday and was super impressed. The meal is a predefined menu for about $100ish a person who seems a little steep but it is super worth it. I was in a lot of nice restaurants where I paid much more and had less to eat with lame experiences. That was amazing! I also told the hostess that it was my men's birthday at the beginning because I heard that they gave the birthday person a bone marrow whiskey shot that was right on my men's avenue. All meats and courses were delicious and nicely plated, and I was quite filled at the end. The dessert at the end was such a surprise I loved! The service was really professional and friendly, but not excessively friendly that I loved. Thank you for having our experience eating in the restaurant amazing! Would definitely recommend someone to eat for a special occasion.

I had no idea what to expect here. The staff was very friendly, attentive and friendly. I didn't even see the menu before the first dish was served. Then I realized it was a Prix Fixe menu. And I just went with you. Everything was amazing! The flavors were incredible and the presentations were simple, but beautiful. Maybe I'm not usually one for a chic/fine meal, but this place broke my head. I would like to come back here

Everything was presented beautifully and Ienjoyed every dish on the menu (my favorite was the short rib stew and the A5 wagyu egg dish to end the meal). Portions are just enough to make you feel full, without hitting food coma. Service- 5 stars You have your own dedicated server cooking and preparing everything for you. Service was excellent throughout and I loved how they offered a whiskey shot (through a bone marrow serving luge) for my dad's birthday. Great experience throughout. The Japanese toilet in the bathroom was an extra touch too! Bottom Line Great food, ambiance, decor and service. There wasn't any specific dish that was jaw-dropping, but everything was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
