Great variety and great portions. Perfect fit for anyone looking to save time to do other things such as going to the gym.Highly recommended.
Oh boy, hold onto your forks, folks, because I just had the most mind-boggling experience with the Friends Of The Chef weight loss meal prep program! I mean, seriously, my taste buds are in shock while my scale did a whole celebration.First off, let's talk about the weight loss wizardry that happened here. I signed up for delivery on Friday for Sunday, started chowing down on these remixes of my childhood favorites, and BAM! In just four days, I've dropped 4.4 lbs.! I'm over here calculating whether I've actually lost weight or my bathroom scale is just pranking me. Is this sorcery or just some culinary version of a magic show? Now, let's chat about these remixes, shall we? It's like the chef took my beloved comfort foods from back in the day and gave them a snazzy makeover. I'm talking about food glow-ups that would make Cinderella jealous. Tres golpes? Transformed into a low-calorie sensation that tastes like a symphony of flavor explosions. La bandera? It's like the chicken went to culinary school and graduated with honors in being healthier but still lip-smackingly delicious. And the taste, oh dear taste buds, they're doing a conga line of joy! It's like a flavor party in my mouth and everyone's invited. I'm tempted to put on some dancing shoes and do the cha-cha just to express my taste bud's enthusiasm. The taste is so spot-on, I'm half-convinced my abuela must've been secretly hired as a consultant because it's like a teleportation device to my childhood dinner table. It's like they bottled up the nostalgia and sprinkled it on every dish. Seriously, if a meal can induce time-travel-like nostalgia, this is it.But wait, there's more! I'm practically counting the seconds till I can place my order for next week's meals. I'm on the edge of my seat like it's a cliffhanger episode of my favorite TV show. Who needs suspenseful dramas when you've got meal prep excitement? So there you have it, folks. Friends Of The Chef's weight loss meal prep program is the real deal – a journey of flavors, weight loss surprises, and an abuela-approved trip down memory lane. If you're into losing weight while feeling like you're being serenaded by a taste symphony that's straight out of your childhood dreams, this is the meal plan for you. Just remember, this isn't just a meal plan; it's a culinary carnival for your taste buds and a scale shrinker in disguise.
Good meal prep delivery service. Great if you hate meal prepping for yourself or are too busy. Also great if you don't like eating the same thing all the time which usually happens when you meal prep. They're Latin fusion. So the meals have flavor. Been ordering these meals since the beginning of the year to control my weight and intake on food since I'm having my wedding this year. Weight management portions are small but you get used to it and portion control. The weight management plan gives you about 1200 cals a day, but they also send you some snacks. There is another plan called the balanced plan which is about 1800 calories a day. It basically has more food, bigger portions of the same meals. They had a keto plan as well which they recently got rid of. I guess more people were ordering the other plans. They deliver on Saturday for most places in the city and on Sundays to other places. There has to be someone at home to receive the box. They also have boxes with cooler bags inside if needed. The easiest way to contact them is through instagram. It's also the fastest way they get back to you. Their site is fotcmeals.com
This review is intended to allow FOTC to do better. The food is well seasoned and balanced. I enjoyed the service in the beginning. After a few weeks I had to cancel due to the excessive use of chicken breast as well as too many meals not being worth the price charged. I cannot justify paying $150 for 15 meals when breakfast consists of overnight oats topped with yogurt, oatmeal bars or waffle too hard to enjoy (pan de bono is a no no for me and sadly is constantly served as Friday breakfast), and both lunch and dinner is chicken all week long with the exception of 2-3 meals of beef. Also greenery is lacking with a few spinach leaves per meal. The up side is this experience has driven me to meal prep for myself which is considerably cheaper. I believe FOTC has the potential to be better, for the remaining customers I hope it does improve.
