I try a Reuben wherever I go, and this one is the best I've ever had. It starts with incredible bread and is loaded with a thick slice of incredibly tender and flavorful corned beef. The sauce is just right, with the perfect balance of cheese, and the sauerkraut isn’t too sweet or too sour. I wish they offered their Reuben all year round!
The restaurant is in a lovely location in Hackensack, close to the lake, but I was disappointed by the lengthy wait of an hour and a half for a pizza to go. Unfortunately, the quality of the pizza wasn't as good as it was last year. We visit once a year on vacation, so I can't specify what has changed, but it simply didn't taste as good this time.
This is a fantastic restaurant! However, it's true that the service and the staff's attitude can be quite poor until they become familiar with you. Once they know you, they treat you like a friend!
Wonderful restaurant with fantastic food! However, I have to agree with what others have said about the service—it's quite terrible, and the staff's attitude can be off-putting until they become familiar with you. They really should treat all customers like friends!
Awful Pizza Experience! We've been loyal customers at the old Lucette's for years; it was one of my favorite spots. However, since the move, both the service and quality have declined significantly. I ordered a hamburger and mushroom pizza with extra cheese, but it had a fishy taste, and the cheese didn't even cover the sauce. To top it off, they used cheddar instead of the advertised 100% mozzarella. Unfortunately, that was our last visit. It's a real disappointment!
