Oceanaire Seafood Room - Hackensack

This restaurant serves the most delicious food I have ever tasted. The oysters were excellent and so fresh, you could taste the ocean in every bite. The crab cakes were juicy and flavorful. The lobster pasta was a standout dish, even though it was listed in the sides section, it was a huge portion. The steak and shrimp were also delicious. Our server, Shane, was very attentive and helpful in recommending dishes. I highly recommend this place for a special evening with loved ones and exceptional food. Every penny spent there was worth it. I would definitely go back whenever I have the chance.

We had a great experience at this restaurant, although we did notice that they were a bit understaffed that evening. Despite this, our server was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed some delicious drinks and were pleasantly surprised by the chicken fried lobster dish, which was accompanied by truffle mashed potatoes. We couldn't resist ordering the baked Alaska after seeing another table order it, and it did not disappoint. Our choice even inspired others to order it as well. Overall, a fantastic meal with a few minor hiccups.

Overall, while the food at Oceanaire was decent, the bad service made for an underwhelming culinary experience. If you are in the mood for seafood, there are probably better options out there with more attentive service.

There was a great selection of cocktails and wine. The food was average. The lobster didn’t have flavor. The crab cake was good. The cod was maybe average. The service was good. The decor is very nice.
