Ruman Balti House - Hackney

Ruman Balti House serves the most delicious Indian food we have ever had the pleasure of tasting. The dishes are exquisite, flavorful, affordable, and generously sized. We have grown to adore the staff, and despite ordering delivery during the lockdown for several weeks, we have never been let down. Keep up the fantastic work and exceptional cuisine. We had been searching for a good curry restaurant in Finsbury Park for a long time, and decided to give this one a try. We were the only customers there at 10pm on a Saturday night. The service was friendly, and the prawn puri was decent. We ordered lamb rogan and chicken dupiaza as a test of their standard dishes. The food took a long time to arrive, and we even considered leaving at one point. When the dishes finally came, they were not at all what we expected. One had no tomatoes and the other had no onions, so they tasted more like lamb korma and chicken pathia, and not very good ones at that. We will not be returning to this restaurant, and our quest for a good curry house in Finsbury Park continues.

The staff at this restaurant were incredibly unfriendly, the wait time was unacceptable, and the food was inedible. I would definitely recommend avoiding this place.

This restaurant probably looks a bit basic from the outside. However, the female staff member on duty the evening we called was very friendly and welcoming. There is a fairly extensive range of choices and I ordered Chicken Tikka, whilst my son opted for a vegetarian dish. We both found the food excellent good sized portions and really tasty. I also thought it was excellent value. I would happily return here.

We use to go here a lot but it’s now under new management and the food just is nowhere near as good. The restaurant is always cold too.
