It's simple ingredients, but the BALANCE of the flavors is perfect. The pesto doesn't overpower the peppers, the goat cheese doesn't overpower the pesto, you get the point. Also, the texture (super important to a neurodivergent like me) is also just exactly right. The lettuce isn't too chewy, the carrots aren't too crunchy, the marinated peppers aren't too soggy. It's the Goldilocks zone for everything.
Went hiking to the Summit House and stopped at Hillside afterwards. The workers werevery friendly. We love that they have vegan cheese. The pizza was ready in 15 minutes. It tasted great. We got one vegan cheese and tomatoes and the other pepperoni.
This place is special. Ridiculously good food so fresh and delicious. We had pizza, the lunch break sandwich and garden salad. Can't wait to go back.
Staff helpful and friendly, their pizza is deliciosoooooo ? ???? atmosphere is cozy ?
Never had a bad pie here in the multiple trips that I've been. That says a lot considering when I go to Hillside, I'm looking for a thin crust pizza that its vastly different from the *norm*. I tried the Cross That Bridge on the recommendation of the waitstaff and it was excellent and an appreciated change from my normal pizza shop combinationBonus points for their local fundraising support!
