Oishi Sushi Hibachi - Hagerstown

The food is decent, but they really need to pay better attention to orders. I specifically requested no shellfish—no crab or shrimp—due to a severe shellfish allergy, but they still managed to include shrimp in my meal. Although they eventually corrected it, it delayed my meal further because they got it wrong initially. I highly recommend that anyone with allergies dining here take extra precautions and double-check their orders, rather than assuming it will be prepared as requested.

Typically, this restaurant serves fresh, hot, and delicious food, but that wasn't our experience today. We visited for lunch, and while the rolls we ordered were tasty, the teriyaki chicken bento was quite disappointing. The miso soup was overly salty, the teriyaki sauce had congealed, the vegetables were served raw, and the rice was cold. After just ten minutes, we decided to leave, having only eaten the chicken and the few rolls that accompanied the meal.

The restaurant is cozy, but the service more than makes up for its size. The food is incredible; some of the best gyoza I've ever tasted! I highly recommend it. Food rating: 5/5.

This was my first experience here and I just have to say it was so good! The sushi was amazing and you got a lot of food for your money. 10/10 would recommend

The young gentlemen at the front was so friendly and helpful, answering all my questions with a smile seeing as though I 'm new to obtaining the pallet for sushi!My boyfriend wasn 't big on the Crab Rangoon but I didn 't think it was bad. Ive had a bad time with Calamari in hagerstown and really enjoyed theirs with the sweet sauce it came with! He got the teriyaki bento box and felt the chicken was a bit dry but we were both happy with the sushi! Both getting the California roll and I tried the Philly. The Tea was also a bit off tasting.I do wish I had known of the specials before hand, I think he would of loved the Maryland Roll (old bay fanatic) the Jalepeno Bomb sounded oh so good. But, they seem to be year round specials and they WERE displayed brightly above the ordering counter so, its my fault for not noticing.We 'll definitely be back to try again!Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options, atleast for sushi (that I noticed)
