My short stay in hakodate was very pleasant especially because of this pension. the owner and host is really nice and funny. I had a good time with him and others. the tatami room was spacious and clean. due to the hokkaido climate, there is a heating in the room. toilet and bathroom were queaky clean. they can also rent bath and towel if they have forgotten to bring some. there is also a washing machine that they can use for only 100 yen. just now the owner builds a small caffe in the house. I hope it'll be done when I come back!
Excellent guest house. I can't talk much about the big host. next to the guided tour of a guest house through airbnb, the ground floor is also a social space/cafe, which for some light refreshments and talk with other guests (without expecting a complete meal, though). whether they stay at night or visit for an hour, this is really a great place.
Had a great stay here! the Japanese tatami room was spacious enough to open two cases, also laid with the tatami beds. a lot of space in the closet! the beds were also very warm and comfortable! showers, washbasins and wcs are communicative, but extremely clean and tidy, with amenities such as face wash, toothpaste, antibacterial sep and for 50yen they can pick up a travel toothbrush if they do not bring. two wash basins and a huge mirror, and a fantastic heating in the winter to warm their legs while they wash. the shower was the best I had during my stay in japan. significantly larger than the usual ones. the shower also has a small dressing area with mirror, small rain, towel holder and hair dryer, so that they can comfortably change even before returning to their room. there is also a water cooker firmly filled and some instant coffee and tee to help yourself. also a refrigerator to keep something. on the ground floor there is a nice caffe called taom, where the guests can also chill. not least the people who lead the place are absolutely delightful. well visited Japanese friends who speak English and like to share. the location is also obviously very good, and on a picturesque crossing, where the trees are illuminated in the evening with fairy-tale lights! would remain again.
I dont really review but I really feel that this is probably the best hostel in the best location in Hakodate, especially when they're the new kids on the block! The manager of the guesthouse is really friendly and will recommend you great spots to visit, as well as provide you with local insights. They're all fluent in English too, which can be really helpful. The rooms are spacious, warm, cosy and clean. Toilets are clean and spacious too (especially for Japanese standards . They're currently creating a cafe/work space with a Sapporo Classic on tap (hard to find in Hokkaido! Their own concoction of salty waffles and Hokkaido premium ice cream is amazing too. Would stay there again.
