Leaving my review at 5 stars as unfortunately, Chai Baba, even though accepting orders via GrubHub, is temporarily closed on 2/22/22.
The chicken tikka was great, very flavorful, a little heavy with the seasoning/spices, but I liked that. The chili chicken wings were amazing, the perfect mix of spicy and sweet. The chicken lollipops would've been better if they had the sauce that the wings had. They were a little dry and lacking in flavor. The virgin mojitos are very sweet kind of similar to soda. Mango lassi was solid, not too bad, but not the greatest
Beautiful decor! The chicken tikka sandwich was okay. But I loved the masala fries. Didn’t like the samosa, it was filled with cumin seeds. The falooda shake was good but can be better with real falooda toppings. The struggle was that there wasn’t any menu. We were told the only way we can see the menu was to scan the QR code. Cool feature for a digital world. But unfortunately my phone died and I had to wait till my husband came to place my order. Very inconvenient. They should at least keep one printed version of the menu.
I was excited to try this place. I love the decorations, but I wouldn't go back for the food honestly. We ordered naan, the lahori chicken karhai, and chicken bihari kebab. The karhai had way too much salt in it and didn't even taste like a karhai. The naan were hard and some were burnt. The chicken bihari kebab didn't even look like it or taste like it, instead they just tasted like simple chicken tikka boti. The last thing we got was mango mojitos, which were really good. Though the only thing was, one was for $10, which is really expensive for that. Usually, the most I have seen charged is $8 probably.
