Gumbo Jazz - Haleyville

This little eatery in Haleyville is a treasure!The decor is eclectic interesting...the atmosphere is comfortable inviting...the staff is welcoming hospitable...the music is jazzy soft, BUT...the food is AMAZING authentic The gumbo is perfect the shrimp is top shelf, the catfish is excellent, the fries are seasoned just right, even the tartar cocktail sauces are fresh delicious...The fudgy brownie pie thingy is to die for, may not even be legal We will be back soon often...5 STARS all day long...just wow

The hostess was super nice. The atmosphere is welcoming. The place is small but we ate outside at one of the tables because it was such a beautiful day. The food was very good! I enjoyed the seafood gumbo and boiled shrimp.

Best shrimp po boy I have every had and I have had plenty. Really cute little place. Highly recommend. Hope they survive this world we are living in...

Best and biggest boiled shrimp I’ve ever had. Amazing fries. Just good food! Service and cleanliness are great too.

We had our first visit tonight. Some was good some was not so good. First, they charge for tap water.....who does that? I ordered the shrimp poboy and the wife got the catfish plate. The poboy was good....not the best I've had, but good. I will say the French bread was really good. The catfish plate portions were great, but the fish was kinda bland. There wasn't much seasoning on it. I guess the worse thing was I really wanted the bread pudding..... wouldn't you know it, they were out. Out of bread pudding at 6pm on a Saturday night, btw they only have two desserts. I would go back, but wouldn't order the catfish and hopefully they have bread pudding.
