550 Tavern - Halifax

Love this place! We like to sit at the bar and enjoy drinks and a meal. Even during busy times the bartenders are awesome and attentive. Servers are wonderful too. Food is always delicious! I recommend the pickle fries. I've gotten to know the owner,Amanda, as we had our wedding at the Lakeside Villa attached to the restaurant and she is amazing.

Food is so tasty and waitresses help and guidance is polite. The view from the terrace is lovely. I?d say the only thing I didn?t like much was the music was a bit too loud that?s why we chose to sit in the terrace area. But still the playlist is wellcurated.

Local Lakeview Hidden Gem! I was recently on a scenic tour around twin lakes in Halifax, when I noticed the beautiful lakeview establishment 550 Tavern and Event Venue. It happened to be a rainy day outside, but inside we were greeted with a very warmwelcoming local staff. The hostess, grade A+ for her genuine hospitality. The wait staff were prompt attentive knew the menu andmade wonderful suggestions. The menu had wonderful mix of veggie, NE seafood, salads, chicken, and beef options together withtraditional pub tavern favorites i.e. pizza, wings burgers and panini's. The Tavern had a specials menu and Prime Rib is on itThursday to Saturday, I will return with friends for that! In addition, they have a wonderful breakfast menu Wen-Sun. I can sayI will be back to try it. The menu is fantastic. The 505 Tavern is attached to a venue event space, no doubt the food and theserenity of the lake atmosphere is great. On this visit we tried the NE Clam chowder made on premise, garlic aioli chicken wingsand a classic cheeseburger. All food was hot, generous portions and tasted excellent. The Tavern had a main dining area, outdoorlakeside patio and large bar area. The clientele were a mix of families with children, young couples and older couples. If youwant to catch a game, ample tv's were within view.

Was first time there. Kinda scopin it out. I drive by there every day for work. The place to sit is out on the deck. Cool spot. Foods good enough for me to plan on a return. Plus we got a good waitress.

I recently went in with my 77 year old mother to grab some food . I walked in with my water bottle because they only serve tap . We dat down no 1 said anything including the waitress about my water , she even asked if I wanted something I said ill keepthis because you only have tap.. she was fine with it 15 mins later food comes out. Now I'm approached by the hostess and Ibelieve maybe a manager and asked to leave because I had the water and they didn't know if it was alcohol...mind you I don'tdrink I'm a body builder. I thought it wad very disrespectful do to the circumstances. The buff dip was trash all cream cheese, and the food was sub par. . I will never go back to this establishment again
