Feedback gevenThirty minutes after we placed our order, the waiter informed us that they had run out of veal chop, as well as mozzarella and tomatoes, which several people in our party had ordered. We requested to speak with a manager, and it took her a good ten minutes to arrive at our table. When we finally spoke with her, her excuses for the lack of available wines and food were weak. She was neither polite nor apologetic. While she was at the table, I even pulled out my phone to find the number for a nearby restaurant, hoping they could accommodate us. She told me not to bother, as she had the number saved in her cell phone and would call for us! It was astonishing that she was willing to call her competition to see if they had a table for us. We were a party of 11, including four well-behaved children. We spent an hour and a half in this restaurant without seeing a single dish or a drop of wine. Did I mention the restaurant was only about a quarter full that night? It was not even busy, yet they were running out of food. After enduring this experience, we finally decided to leave and walked over to Matteo's in the same shopping center. Save your time and money—do not go to the Wine Cellar. Head straight to Matteo's for the best Italian food in Hallandale.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was poor, and our meals for a party of six arrived at different times, which was frustrating. The vegetables were cold, and the silverware and wine glasses had spots on them, making them look unclean. The lobster was mediocre, and the shrimp scampi and veal schnitzel were not much better. On a positive note, the sea bass was reported to be delicious, and the salad was decent. However, I definitely do not plan to return.
