Service was good. The food was really good too! I took a star away because the queso here is, unfortunately, pretty bad.
Authentic Mexican cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of a cozy family-owned local eatery.
We started with salsa and chips, served in a unique little pot-belly glass along with three small bowls for us to portion the salsa ourselves. It was a cool idea that I hadn't seen before. I appreciated that the salsa was smooth rather than chunky. We also ordered a large queso, which was just the right consistency—not too thick—and served warm. The chips were great, too. The prices were very reasonable. My niece ordered a combination plate with a beef enchilada, two beef tamales, rice, and beans, costing around $10. I opted for two tostadas with beans, meat, lettuce, cheese, and half a slice of tomato. It was very filling, and I didn’t even have rice or beans. My dish was about $12. My husband got the chili relleno plate #2, which included one chili relleno, one beef enchilada, rice, beans, and a small scoop of guacamole on lettuce, plus your choice of tortillas. That was around $13. For dessert, we got four sopapillas dusted with cinnamon sugar, served with a bowl of syrup and packs of butter. They also offer a version with ice cream and strawberry sauce, but since no one helped me finish the ones I ordered, I didn't get to try those. I think the sopapillas only cost $6. Overall, our total for the evening was $57, and we will definitely be back. I noticed they even serve breakfast. I recommend giving it a try; you won’t be disappointed!
Menudo was spicy but delicious and the service was great as always loved the chips and salsa.
