Cu - Halton

I visited a charming restaurant with welcoming staff, but I unfortunately had to wait an hour for my main course, despite the restaurant not being very busy on a Friday night. No explanation or apology was offered for the delay. Additionally, the food was somewhat dry.

The food was great and the service was excellent While the menu isn't extensive, the meals were well cooked. The copper decor is eye catching and very impressive

Just a short review, I visited as usual for my company's xmas dinner, it was average. Considering this is supposed to be a high class hotel, obviously the chefs arn't. The turkey and beef were ok, not great, but the rest of the lunch was below par. I only go to see old work colleagues, certainly not the food and if I were paying I'd be pretty upset with the standard. If it was up to me I'd go somewhere else but obviously have a continuous booking. CU restaurant, get some better chefs!

I'm a bit late writing this but better late than never. This was the second Christmas Day in succession for us. We chose it because it's local and very cheap £49 per head for adults). The food was perfectly acceptable and we really enjoyed it. The service was great and the children received chocolate too. I have had better food previously but paid an awful lot more that £49 for it. Well done to all at the Hillcrest!!

The service was very good. Sunday lunch was excellent,2 lamb,1 beef. Very tasty and both meats top quality. We usually have Sunday lunch at a restaurant we frequent in Cheshire, but we can all honestly say this meal was better. Nice atmosphere but as we ate early it was quiet but by the time we left the restaurant was very busy.
