It is such a shame that this stunning location with an interesting architectural building has such horrible and downright dangerous service. I am a restaurant alum myself, and there is just no excuse for this. After explaining to the waitress on Sunday, November 18 that I had a food allergy to gluten (not the trendy kind, the kind that makes you really ill I asked her to check with the chef to ensure I could in fact eat what I ordered. She then said the dish was fine...but obviously couldn't be bothered to really find out. Probably because she couldn't be bothered to walk from the first building to the second building, where the kitchen is. I then see the dish come out to another customer..and it looks completely covered in flour. I say, wait, are you sure? Did you really check? She then says I have to order the soup and has the nerve to say this situation is my fault for ordering the first dish in the first place?! At this point the people I am with all get their food. They take their time eating it, but everyone is done in the 20 minutes it takes for the soup to arrive (how long does a soup take, really? . Management, if this woman does this to someone with a peanut allergy, they'd be dead. This is really not ok.
This is a super lovely café right at the river Elbe come when the weather is nice and have a cold drink and chill. You can also grab some food here, it´s a small menu, but what we had was really good (Couscous). There´s also always some fresh cakes available. Also a cool place to watch football.
A great place, whether long or shorter break, the time is next to it. good kitchen, great concept, nice service.
Also at hamburger smuddelwetter is worth a trip. you sit directly on or above the water and can make the soul bud, drink a delicious coffee and eat a petty. in the middle of the harbour area. wonderful!
