Dat Backhus - Hamburg

What a great view of Hafencity. Dat Backhus is good everywhere.

Dat Backhus is a really good place to get really cheap food for breakfast lunch. I recomment the Backfisch rolls or the Hähnchen-Käse rolls for just 3,50EUR. I usually grap a sandwitch and walk down to the waterfond where you have a great view over the habour city. The Backhus is always really clean and the waiters are always really friendly. To sum it up: Good, cheap place for a fast snack in one of the most expensive tourist areas of Hamburg.

I had a great breakfast here consisting of a lot of coffee, an egg, and some great baked goods. It is very near the cruise terminal and you can see out to the river and the Marco Polo building a little bit. The prices were pretty reasonable and everybody was very friendly too. I recommend the big bowls of cafe au lait.

Service is friendly, speaks English for me is a plus. Love German bakery, real bread! Great coffee to boot.

The quality of the baked items was great as the coffee, so if they want an breakfast or other meal with view over the harbour, this is definitely worth a try!
