Elbwerk - Hamburg

Very cozy bar with beautiful view of the elbe. the service was extremely attentive, the cocktails very tasty. the music was not too loud so you could have a good conversation for it being a bar. all in all absolutely recommended and incomprehensible why some reviews are so bad off.

I was helping set up a private function at this bar a couple of days ago. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, polite, friendly and charming. Catering was supplied and was of a very good quality too. Views across the Elbe were great and...especially so as the sun went down and we could enjoy the blue lights installation across the city. Thank you Elbwerk staff for such a great welcome.

Actually we wanted to go up to the other bar, to have a degree view across Hamburg. But because the queue was too long we decided to drop in to Elbwerk. It was cramped in there when we just walked into the door. However...a friend made out a corner were just seats became available. So we went there to have a couple of drinks. We all ordered different drinks. I started of with a cocktail which was a choc colada. However it tasted not delicious at all. As this had a strange aftertaste I ordered another drink, a mixture of and a juice. This was alright. The others werent too fuzzy about their drink, so they were kinda happy. However we all were quite astonished about the prices for a drink as those were really high, doesnt matter what drink it is (be it with or without alcohol). Anyway, to come back to the headline. Im hearing impaired, so I personally found the music cranked up too much. My friends wished to have earplugs with them, as the noise hurt them in the ear. Also they had to shout to understand each other. This is not good. Maybe you guys of that bar need to turn down the volume a bit or do you want to end up deaf? Also the bass was far to loud, we hardly heard any music away from the bass. Well for me, I just switch my hearing aids off and have peace :D Nothing is better, then suffering is this **** noise world. :D One of my friend told me the next day, of suffering from ringing in the ear. So this Music is far too boisterous. Else, the bathrooms were quite dirty and no toilet paper nor soap left. Not great. The culture in this bar was quite interesting to look at. But at some people were already pretty pissed. So what would they look like at :D The service was a bit low and showed communication troubles, as a different waitress returned to confirm our orders once more. In addition we had to wait quite long for the delivery. Anyway, for me it was an experience, but my partner and I wont go there again. Have fun folks.

This was a great choice for a relaxed breakfast on valentines day. Staff is really friendly and helpful. We did not order the BIG breakfast choice as it appeared to be a little too much. We ordered a scrambled egg on bread with crab meat...and a great smoked salmon bun. Drinking cappuccio, tea and prosecco and just enjoying the day. Well worth a visit! Still have to go in the evening!
