Fischpfanne - Hamburg

Hamburg, a city in the world, with many possibilities to eat. One of the many ways to drive to the landing bridges in Saint Pauli is the FISCHPFANNE restaurant. Here I ate my first crab sausage and I have to say it was good. There was another Ducksteiner and the world was fine again. The service was good, everyone is welcome here and is treated as if they wait for him and wait for him for a long time. I liked it and I was very happy.

We ended up here because a nearby restaurant where we were seated took so long to bring us menus and take our orders, that we left in search of better service. When we arrived here, it looked so warm and inviting from the outside and was packed with patrons clearly a good sign of the food quality and service! We were greeted warmly as we walked in the door and seated in the middle aisle just one table back from the front windows. It's quite amazing how they manage to fit to many tables into a small restaurant but it was definitely cosy. Our server spoke some English so it made it easier but also a local couple at the table next to us kindly explained some of the menu items to us which was lovely. We ordered the currywurst (giant curry sausage with fries) and Pannfisch (beer battered fish fillet with potato salad tartar sauce) served with cucumber salad. We were totally addicted to the cucumber salad! Overall, a lovely experience and it made for a memorable last dinner in Hamburg on the Waterfront.

Absolutely brilliant food. We ordered the Captains Plate which was for two people, €40 and worth every cent! Delicious. Would definitely recommend if in Hamburg. Nice waterfront location, friendly waiting staff, and reasonably priced.

Awesome place for lunch or a quick snack. The kids had the fish and chips. I had the Fishpfanne. My Wife had the Madjesfilet. We all loved our choices. I was really tempted to take a Backfisch Sandwich to go!

After a long day of wandering around Hamburg, I wanted to find a low key place to eat by the river. This was a perfect find. The fish was nice, and the server was helpful. The location also helped to make it a pleasant way to end the day.
