Try out the Korean ice creams . A homely place , rather simple ambience , no pretense ....The husband n wife owner couple are good hosts! Service is prompt . Certainly the best we have found from several others in Hamburg .
We were there to celebrate my birthday and it was just great. We get some appetizers included in the price as well as a small bowl for each person with white rice. Some of the appetizers were kimchi, baked fish, fried zucchini, vermiccelli with vegetables...or spicy carrot. About the main dishes, the duck was amazing as well as the fish and seafood grill with vegetables. All the dishes are huge.
This is such an amazing place to eat! Very authentic Korean food, reasonable prices, friendly service. When ever I'm planning on going to Hamburg, I always look forward to this specific food experience. It just makes you feel good and happy :o)
Das Essen war immer der lecker, jedes Mal gab es verschiedene Speisen, entweder wir haben bestellt oder sind dort essen...More
We ended up in this restaurant as it was walking distance from our AirBnB place and as we wanted sushi. Yes, this is a Korean restaurant, I realise that. But they have plenty of sushi and sashimi on the menu so one assumes they have some knowledge in that area as well (and I've been to many excellent sushi restaurants where the owners where Chinese or Korean so...).The restaurant itself is simple and straightforward. We asked to sit outside hoping for less noise and more air, but as "outside" was completely covered up neither of those things were the case. All of that isn't the most important, but the food is. Problems began with ordering. We selected some appetizer and then two different sashimi platters. Unfortunately we were told that the sashimi platter could not be ordered that day, but we could definitely order normal sushi and rolls... I'm still wondering who came up with that. As nigiri sushi is rice with fish and sashimi is just fish, surely if you can make nigiri, you can make sashimi, yes?But well, we chose nigiri instead and that was indeed possible. The quality of the sushi however was dreadful. We weren't sick during the night; that's about the most friendly thing I can say about it.Perhaps this restaurant is good for real Korean dishes; I wouldn't know. But I would implore you not to select the sushi here.
