Before me other people was walking inn too and they sit them right just because that way I dress or look don't give you guys the right to discriminate nobody I can say HORRIBLE SERVICE MARKETON PLACE HAS BETTER KITCHEN SERVICE THAN YOU GUYS . I'LL GIVE THEM ?STAR
Very Unprofessional! I sent in an online order for pickup. I walk in and tell them ?hi I?m picking up for ?? the manager proceeds to look me up and down and say ?she?s going to have to wait?. Never in my life has this ever happened to me. I am a customer. I?ve already paid and my order is already done. What am I waiting for exactly? Not only that, but the boy in the front was told by that exact same manager that he couldn?t assist me and that he had to manage his own section first. It would?ve taken either him or her two seconds to walk over and grab my food for me. Terrible. All of this just for me to go home and eat some undercooked noodles. Never again will I be spending my hard earned money here.
Another clueless management story. I booked a table for 9 a month in advance with a Manager on Duty . The table was to be in the back of the Hamden location so we could have a semi private table. I showed up on time with my group this Sunday only to find out that I was LIED to. I was told my table was unavailable and they don 't reserve it for regular diners. I was told that a shower taking place in an adjacent room and that I would be in the way. I was given a table in the middle of the restaurant and that was it. I received the typical lip service from the other Manager on Duty stating that all she had was the middle of the dining room and that was it. I 've been a retail manager for 30 years and know poor customer service when I see it. We had our dinner, spent about 600.00 and left. Guess where I will never take a group of my friends again.
We love Eli?s restaurant and the food. We would go weekly on way home from appointments. My husband and I have ordered the same thing for weeks. We went this past Wed night and once again we ordered our usual. Me the onion soup and avocado tower with grilled shrimp. My husband the Hamburger and fries. Minus lettuce tomato and cheese. Always substituted those for a small amount of grilled onions and hot cherry peppers. Always delicious and never had an up charge for the substitute until this week. We had drinks served and my onion soup which I had just started to eat when the manager that night came out and told us there would be an up charge for the onions and cherry peppers. I asked him why. He said that?s how it is when you substitute. I explained to him we have been doing this for months now so I could not understand why tonight. He said his waitress should not have done that. I said all of them? He said all were wrong. I said your giving us a problem about exchanging lettuce tomato and cheese which together most likely cost more then the onions and peppers. He said. I have to charge you. I said no that?s ok. I had not really started to eat my soup and we had not touched our drinks so we were leaving and you just lost your regular customers and business. Now a good manager would have said I will do it today but just for next time you know there is an up charge. He did not so no more Eli?s in Branford for us. We are said because we love the food and location but so sad because of there manager.
The service was just some of the worst I 've had! Super slow. Waiter was absolutely clueless on what was going on. Took over 45 minutes for a Starter menu item to come out! Then the waiter didn 't even know it was there! Plus we had 4 kids with us. Imagine that for fun! They definitely need to do something major about that nonsense. Won 't be on my list for anything next time. ?
