This place has exactly what you're looking for, especially if you're in a hurry. The staff is always welcoming with a smile from the moment you walk in. As they prepare your sandwich, they do so with a big smile on their face that is contagious. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy your meal. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it. They have recently moved locations, and can now be found across from the Powerhouse on King Street. You won't be disappointed.
Like the other posters, I also want to support small businesses. When I saw the sign, I had to try. I was hoping for a hot smoked meat, but unfortunately it was a cold sliced sandwich, so I decided for the smoked truthahn. the 10-oz sandwich is huge, but to be honest it was only average. the least I like, are the people who run it. the wom used gloves, but the type was not, and both looked like they had just rolled out of the bed. friendly enough, but between her hacking and coughing and his less than hygienic behavior/looking it made a bad impression on me. Honestly, I can get a better sandwich at roma bakery on barton. I will not come back.
We heard about this form of our tenants living in Stoney Creek. They just opened after the move from Barton Street. It is nice to support local, small businesses when we can. This place is simple, small and clean!!! The size of the sandwich is... big and you can get many kinds of meat at 4, 6, 8 and 10 ounces of sandwiches. Also many types of bungalows. I have the 8 ounces smoked Turkey and it was huge... LOL. Lunch break. The girls there are fantastic. They do not scrimp on fixations, many options such as salad, tomatoes, onions, etc. My wife ordered the Roastbeef sandwich. It was also big, she took home and as mentioned was good both days. Fair value for what you get. We're back twice.
The sandwich selection is impressive, with generous portions and a variety of meats to choose from in 4, 6, 8, and 10-ounce options. I opted for the 6 oz turkey sandwich, which was delicious. The rolls were large and there were plenty of toppings to choose from. The person making the sandwiches was friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich, which was large and had two types of cheese. However, one downside was that the sandwich wasn't as hot as we would have liked. The chicken seemed to be pre-cooked and added cold to the sandwich, which was a bit disappointing. The soup was made by another person and brought in daily - the minestrone was surprisingly good. One piece of constructive criticism we have is that the person making the sandwiches should wear disposable gloves for hygiene purposes. The lack of gloves gave a slightly uncomfortable feeling. However, the establishment had a clean bill of health from the inspector, so it seems to be a minor issue. Overall, the sandwiches were tasty and the soup was enjoyable. The price was reasonable at $21 for two sandwiches, a soup, and a large chocolate milk. Despite some room for improvement in heating sandwiches and hygiene practices, we found the experience to be satisfactory.
This restaurant offers the biggest, freshest, and best sandwiches at a cheap price! I tried the Montreal smoked meat sandwich with all the toppings and it was amazing. The sandwich was so big that I had to save half for my girlfriend, who couldn't even finish her portion. If you want a huge sandwich that tastes fresh and amazing with a variety of toppings, this is the place to go! I make sure to go every payday to grab lunch, but unfortunately, the early closing hours make it difficult for me to go during the day. Despite this inconvenience, I would rate this restaurant a 9.5/10, deducting only 0.5 points for the limited hours. Overall, it is an amazing dining experience.
